PRESCHOOL OPEN HOUSE - Thursday, January 22, 2009
Our Open House is Thursday, January 22nd from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. If you have friends and/or neighbors who are looking for a quality early childhood program, please let them know about the 22nd or have them call, if they can’t make it that night.
Our open enrollment period ends one week after the open house on Friday, January 30, 2009. Application packets for 2009-2010 school year slots will be available starting on January 22, 2009. All applications received before Friday January 30, 2009 will be given first consideration when placement meetings are held.
Please obtain an application packet from the Boutwell office. Complete the information and submit it to Brenda at Boutwell, 448-2297. You can either deliver the application to Boutwell or you can mail it to:

For the standard application period, applications will be accepted at Boutwell until January 30, 2009. Following the standard application period (rolling applications will be taken throughout the year), openings will be filled by using the following selection process:

Selecting those who were enrolled in the program this year.

Selecting siblings of current or previously enrolled children.

Using a lottery for the remaining openings and for a waiting list.
Once applicants are selected for enrollment, you will be notified of your application status. Please note that you should indicate on your application all days of the week and times of day you would consider because certain days or times may fill up before others.

just up the road from Groton Center across from the American Legion Hall.
The Boutwell Early Childhood Center is part of the Groton-Dunstable Regional School District and offers:
- Teachers licensed by the Department of Education (DOE)
- Low teacher to child ratios
- A minimum of two adults (a teacher and an aide) in each classroom
- A full time Speech and Language Pathologist on site
- A full time School Nurse on site
- On site Occupational and Physical Therapists
- Curriculum based on Early Childhood Standards from the DOE that is directly aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks
- A caring well trained staff dedicated to the needs of young children
- Special events, science workshops and community trips
- Large spacious classrooms and an on site playground
