Letter from the Director of Food Services
The Food Service Department of the Groton-Dunstable School System is happy to be a part of the new website that the district has worked so hard to set up.
I hope that any parent that has a question about our menu or vending will feel free to contact us at any time.
We have been involved with the district the past three years in setting up standard for the Lunch and the Vending program. When the mission statements began, we took a closer look at what we were offering the students and decided that we would no longer sell snacks at the elementary level; also deleted some of the desserts that we offered and added more fresh fruits. We have tried to offer healthy meals and a la carte items in the district. We have changed a number of items in the vending program from regular products to baked products.

We strive to make sure GDRSD students have healthy meal and snack choices. It has been proven that if a child has a healthy meal he is able to concentrate more on learning.
